  • Born October 1914 in Samara, Russia

  • Survived the Russian Revolution and emigrated to New York City at eight

  • Graduated from Barnard College in 1936

  • Worked as an editor and manager at American Management Assoc.

  • Served as Barnard's alumni director, editing the alumni magazine in retirement

  • Started a local newspaper in Kent, CT with husband

  • Published first of three memoirs at 87

  • Has participated in local writers' group for more than two decades and still edits for friends

  • Five children, 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren
