  • Born August 1914 in Seattle, WA

  • Graduated from the Univ. of Washington, where she was on the women's rifle team that won a national title.

  • Worked as "office girl" and stenographer in Seattle

  • In 1944 married husband Richard, an engineer for the U.S. Navy

  • Moved to retirement community after husband's 1994 death

  • Three children, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren

 

"The day after she turned six, American women won the right to vote," says her granddaughter. "She's lived a lot of history, and she is proud to support Hillary Clinton, our first female President."
